Determination is the Mother of Victory

Dear Editor,
I apologize for my writing. My English is crippled but my mind is absolutely clear and straight. I’m a regular old potato, retired but not retarded. I cannot indifferently see the safety of our country dangerously and negligently compromised with the pseudo liberal ideas. As a concerned citizen, I must ring the bell and I am asking for a permission to be heard.
Two hundred years ago, victorious Russian Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov proclaimed procrastination to be just as good as death.
Recently, North Korea and Iran have shown cooperation in their assault on the world of freedom. They are stubbornly consistent in their insanity. Their fanatic ideology and western logic of prudency and beneficence of compromise will not work because they never will give up under any conditions. North Korea deliberately disrespects and insults our country selecting their military exercises on our Memorial Day. Not so long ago, our President offered to work on future steps to disarmament and North Korea immediately responded with tests of their missiles.
Before WWII, American/European democracy covertly allowed Hitler to strengthen his position. The result is well known. History repeats itself.
It is a wishful thinking to hope Russia and China will share our concerns and values. Russia and China are interested in keeping America under pressure, and they tie our hands in games of geopolitics. They’re also very vindictive and they blame our system for the global economical crisis.
We are saving a sinking matter of responsibility of those who are drowning.
But today we are very notorious losers. Our politicians can see as far as their own noses. Why did America betray contras at the time of the Bay of Pigs invasion? Why was our Army stopped in close proximity to Baghdad in a time of liberation of Kuwait?
Why were tanks of General Sharon stopped a few miles from Damascus?
And now, why did Mr. Pinetta fly to Israel with a warning against effective strike against Iran?
Our enemies achieved serious advantages in their nuclear and ballistic programs. Today we lack effective intelligence in the region. Nobody knows exactly what the conditions of readiness are of the offensive military programs in North Korea and Iran.
Who prevents terroristic states from selling nuclear weapons to terrorists, or giving a hand to others not very friendly to us? I am talking about those like Syria.
We are in the age of a full blown nuclear epidemic; delaying effective resistance will not make the problem go away. Resolution, not evolution, will do the trick, and the sooner the better. It is most dangerous to underestimate enemies and relax with the idea that we are much stronger.
Great danger from terrorists and terroristic states demand immediate attention.
As advised by President Reagan, “don’t be scared, be prepared.”
We have to understand there is no way to cure international cancer with aspirin. Such sickness needs surgery. We have to send additional troops to Afghanistan immediately. Mr. Commander in Chief, stop sitting between chairs!
We also need to immediately enhance our close military cooperation with Israel against Iran, and with Japan and South Korea against the North Korean aggressors.
Who, where and when wants a war with only the tools of defense?
We are in the war and “on the war as on the war.” The country does not need liberal dogmatic but pragmatic steps from our Commander in Chief.
Is it not true that an army of cats led by a tiger will defeat an army of tigers led by a pussycat?
Today indecisions are more dangerous than even wrong decisions, and I am sorry to say that our government continues to engage in old ostrich politics.
Our Orator in Chief responded strongly against aggression with the same meaningless words, lousy trivia, and rhetoric business as usual.
The dance with the wolves continues.
Is it now the right time to show the world that our country has a strong and responsible leader, and the “Mickey Mouse” behavior is acceptable in Disney World but not in the world of reality.
A time bomb is ticking.
Let us look around with sober eyes on the problems. North Korea, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Palestine- we are surrounded by enemies. .
To paraphrase the “Little Prince” by Antuan De-Sent Ekzuperi: if you love somebody, you are responsible for them; if you love your garden, and notice bad, very active grass growing up and destroying the beautiful flowers on your land, fight the grass, save your flowers. Our children will really enjoy the beautiful garden.
When our beautiful homeland is in economic, political, and military fire, it is not a time for redecoration.
When will the so-called speculative high morality be turned to high morality? It is time for consolidation and mobilization. We live on a volcano and we must be prepared for a fight.
Talk peace but keep your ammunition ready. We are the most patient and generous country in the world, but kindness in our difficult time demands possession of strong fists.
Gloves off, America, time to stand tall in defense of our values, our civilization, and the future of our children.
If not us, who else? If not now, when?
